Lithology and Thickness
The Augila Formation is subdivided into three members: Lower member is soft shale interbedded with thin clayey limestone or dolomite; Middle member is porous, glauconitic quartz sandstone; and the Upper member is a sandy, slightly glauconitic limestone (Abugares, 2007).
